GENERATIONS.
ONE HOME.
West Vancouver has been part of our family’s story for three generations. My husband and I are raising our two sons here, his parents are growing older here, and the decisions made by Council will affect all three generations of our family.
“I do not simply have an interest in West Vancouver. I live here.”
These are the roads my family travels, the schools my children attend, the local businesses we rely on and the neighbourhoods where our friends and family live. For me, the future of West Vancouver is not an abstract policy discussion. It is the future of my own community.
ROOTED IN THE COMMUNITY
Over the years, I have been involved with families and school communities connected to École Cedardale, Westcot, Collingwood and Rockridge. I have led fundraisers, organized events and worked alongside parents and volunteers who care deeply about where we live.
I also serve with the British Properties Area Homeowners’ Association, where I am involved in Block Watch and neighbourhood outreach. These experiences have allowed me to hear the concerns of residents at different stages of life—from parents raising young families to seniors who want to remain independent and connected to their community.
EXPERIENCE GROUNDED IN PEOPLE
Earlier in my career, I worked as a youth support worker. That experience taught me something I have carried ever since: before trying to solve a problem, you need to understand the person experiencing it. Listening is not simply a courtesy. It is how you arrive at a better decision.
My professional career has included operations, human resources, business development, hospitality, digital businesses, interior design and housing. I have lived and worked in Canada, Costa Rica, London and Ireland.
Across those different places and industries, I have managed people, budgets, partnerships and projects. I have learned to ask difficult questions, balance competing priorities and find practical ways forward.
WHY I AM RUNNING
COUNCIL MUST CONSIDER THE WHOLE PICTURE.
West Vancouver is facing decisions that will shape our community for decades.
These issues are connected. Development affects infrastructure. Infrastructure affects taxes. Housing affects whether families and seniors can remain here. Transportation decisions affect residents, merchants and the health of our neighbourhood centres.
We need to accommodate growth while protecting the qualities that make West Vancouver exceptional. Residents are facing rising taxes and utility costs. Traffic and infrastructure pressures are growing.
Seniors need better options if they want to downsize and remain in their community. Younger families are questioning whether they can build a future here. Local businesses need village centres where they can succeed.
Council must consider the whole picture.
INDEPENDENT BY CHOICE
I AM RUNNING INDEPENDENTLY—NOT AS PART OF A PRE-ORGANIZED SLATE AND NOT TO IMPOSE A PERSONAL AGENDA ON WEST VANCOUVER.
Being independent also means remaining open enough to listen before deciding.
I have clear principles:
1. Taxpayers’ money must be managed carefully.
2. Growth must be responsible and supported by infrastructure.
3. West Vancouver’s character and natural environment must be protected.
4. Residents should have a meaningful opportunity to influence decisions before the important choices have already been made.
5. Council should make decisions and explain them clearly.
I will not pretend to have every answer. I will not promise that Council can stop something it has no legal power to stop, or eliminate a cost without explaining what would have to change.
If I do not know enough to give a responsible answer, I will say so, find out and report back.
I am running to make sure the voices of the people who live here are carried into the decisions that affect them.
Leadership starts by asking the right questions—and acting on the answers.
HOW I WILL SERVE
That means listening carefully, understanding the facts and consequences, and representing residents honestly at the Council table. It also means telling the truth when choices are difficult and competing interests cannot all be satisfied.
West Vancouver has given my family an extraordinary place to build our lives. I want our children to see a future here, our parents to remain connected and supported, and residents of every generation to feel that their municipal government represents them and uses their money responsibly.
This is my home. I am invested in what happens here, and I am ready to work for the people who share it.
